Today we’re sharing our families Southern-style peach cobbler recipe!

Southern-style peach cobbler is a favorite around here. It’s easy delicious, easy to make, and goes well with coffee. And if you spend any time with us, you’ll see that coffee is a big part of who we are (thanks to living in Europe for several years).

We also are fond of fresh peaches, so naturally baking with them is a no brainer. Because let’s be honest, anything that has peaches in it is GOOD! Just add coffee or ice cream for instant bliss! At least that’s how we see it.

Southern Style Peach Cobbler Recipe

Ingredients:

For the filling:

  • 5 Peaches, sliced
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Juice from 1/2 lemon

For the cobbler:

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 3 Tbsp oil
  • And 1 Tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 Cup flour
  • 1 Tsp baking powder
  • And 1 Cup milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a baking pan and set aside.
  2. In a bowl combine all the filling ingredients and toss to combine. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl beat the eggs with the sugar, oil and vanilla extract. Add the flour and baking powder and mix. Add the milk and continue mixing until everything is well incorporated.

  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Distribute the peaches evenly on top.
  5. Tale to the oven and bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until done.
