Homemade Chocolate Chip Pizza Cookie Recipe

The first time I had a pizza cookie was about 30 years ago. I remember having a sleepover with one of my dear friends and her mom making us our own pizza cookies in our own personal tiny cast iron skillets. I remember the way it was a little doughy in the center and how the ice cream was mixing ever so perfectly with the gooey goodness of melted chocolate and cookie. Yum. Can you tell I liked it? Yep! I loved it then and still love it now. Only one slight difference, I can’t quite indulge in them as often as I’d like — otherwise I might have to ask you to help me watch the kids while I hit the gym. Ha!

Today I am sharing with you a delicious homemade chocolate chip pizza cookie recipe. This is a great way to celebrate any occasion at home and most family members will gladly partake in it’s warm, gooey goodness!

Homemade Chocolate Chip Pizza Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup Butter
• 1/2 cup Sugar
• 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
• 1 tsp Vanilla
• 1 Egg
• 1 1/2 cup Flour
• 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
• 1/4 tsp Salt
• 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350.

Place small cast iron skillet or8" round pan over low heat and melt butter.

Add sugar, brown sugar, beaten egg and vanilla. Mix well.

Add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix until well blended.

Add in chocolate chips and stir to evenly distribute.

Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Allow to cool 10 minutes.

Cut into slices and top with vanilla ice cream.
