12 Powerful Scriptures to Pray Over Your Marriage

What comes to mind when you think of marriage? Hopefully one thing is prayer. Prayer is a vital part of our relationship with the Lord, and the sacredness of marriage is one worth protecting – especially with praying Scripture.

There are many things you can pray for; however, we want to share 12 powerful Scriptures to pray over your marriage that are sure to grow the unconditional love, trust, unity, and intimacy with your spouse. 

Unconditional Love

When needs go unmet and issues begin to arise, the love between a married couple can become pretty conditional. This type of love says, “If you do what I want (or what I need), then I’ll love you.” Not only is this dangerous territory, but it can fuel a skewed view of what love really is. To help ward off the temptation to love conditionally, consider praying these Scriptures:
