Pink Velvet Valentine's Day Cake Pops

I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who didn’t like cake. Seriously. I mean, what’s not to like? I know that everyone has their favorite kinds and some of us just like cake. Period. Our family lends itself to the type that just likes cake. So we had fun the other night making some pink velvet Valentine’s Day Cake Pops!

What you’ll need:

Box of Pink Velvet Cake Mix – use ingredients listed on back of the cake mix box (this will vary)

Vanilla Frosting

Wilton Valentine Sweetheart 6-Cell Sprinkle Mix

Lollipop sticks 100 count 6 inch

Babycakes Pop Maker (Makes 12 Cake Pops)

OR

Nordic Ware Cake Pops Baking Pan

Instructions:

Prepare the cake according to the box instructions – or use your own recipe.

Once you have the batter prepared, then pour it into your Babycakes Pop Maker or Cake Pops Baking Pan and cook according to instructions.

Once your cake pops are cooked through, cool them completely.
TIP: We flash freeze ours for about 7-10 minutes as this makes them much easier to work with.

After the cake pops are cooled down, next comes the glaze. For this recipe, we just went VERY simple as we didn’t have much time. We took some store bought frosting and warmed it up to liquify it. Once we did that, we put the pops on a lollipop stick and dipped them one at a time in the melted frosting mixture and set it aside on wax paper to set. Be sure not to let them sit for too long otherwise the Sprinkle Mix won’t stick! Then we dipped the pops in sprinkles to get the effect we wanted!

The Final Outcome?

Everyone is happy.
