Becoming God’s True Woman {Review & Giveaway}
Introduction
Authors Susan Hunt and Mary A. Kassian have put together, Becoming God’s True Woman: …While I Still Have a Curfew (True Woman). This spectacular 35-day devotional for teen girls is aimed at deepening their relationship with God. This particular book is perfect for girls in Junior and Senior High school. Becoming God’s True Woman is the perfect addition to our daughter’s line up of devotionals for 2013 as she is in 7th grade.
What We Like
- Part one lays out basic truth about biblical womanhood in ways that girls in grades 7-12 can relate to. It gives the young woman reading some wisdom from the writer’s perspective of scripture along with the opportunity to read other teen girls perspectives on the scriptures and prayer related to the scripture. My daughter’s favorite part is the final section of each short devotion that allows her to think about what she has learned and write out her thoughts as well as a prayer in relation to it.
- Part two shares practical implications of biblical womanhood. This section doesn’t have the stories from other teens, rather it is more dedicated to the young lady reading the devotional to dig a bit deeper into the study herself. There are lots more scriptures in each devotion with very easy to understand applications for the particular principle being taught. There are still sections to journal and reflect on what the young lady has just learned at the end of each devotion.
This devotion is a wonderful asset to our daughter’s life. She is enjoying how the authors present each topic as well as the simplicity of the truths being taught. I am grateful for something fresh to keep my daughter’s interest in studying the Bible. I would recommend this devotional to anyone looking for something new for their daughters in grades 7-12 to study!

This book sounds fabulous. My daughter is also in 7th grade & adores The Lord but truly just learning about him. I believe this book would be awesome so it helps her in studying the bible more.

I have been looking for a devotional for my daughters which would encourage them to become all God desires for them as a woman. It would be a real treat to win this devotional and share with their friends. I am blessed with 5 children. My three jewels are the younger of the group at 15, 13 and 10 years old.
