When Life Becomes Heavy…

Life can be heavy. Times can be rough. Many days have I walked the face of this Earth feeling tired as if the only thing I was here for was to carry weight. Most of the time the weight I carry is not my own. Most of the time, anyway. Still in the midst of my struggle, I know in my heart that obedience is better than sacrifice. I know it with all my being that God’s wisdom is supreme.  So I keep walking forward. I endure the pain and keep moving; and waiting for His command.

“Whoever obeys his command will come to no harm, and the wise heart will know the proper time and procedure. For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, though a man’s misery weighs heavily upon him.”
~ Ecclesiastes 8:5-6 (NIV)

Time after time I have seen God step in on my behalf. Almost as if He spoke directly to me saying, “Carlie, I’ll carry your weight.” And in His doing so, He protects me. Protection from harm. Protection from failure. Protection from myself. So thankful am I to have a Father in heaven who loves me enough to show me the way. His way.

Today as you walk, whether heavy or light, never forget to obey His commands. Be patient in your suffering and He will show you the way. If you let Him, He’ll take the pain away and replace it with His peace and love. He’ll give you the answers you seek, in His perfect timing
Amen.
