My Thoughts:
This story is about a wonderful adventure of two dogs, Cooper and Bella, that were having a great time playing together in the snow.  They were having so much fun sledding, neither of them noticed just how far from home they had gone. While they were busy playing, a snow storm hit, and they were not able to find their way home. Through team work and determination, Cooper and Bella were able to overcome their situation of being lost and too far from home.
This book captivated the attention of my two youngest children from the rhyming story to the fun illustrations. The story prompted several discussions about the importance of always being aware of your surroundings and time. It also led us into a discussion about what the children are to do if they were ever to become lost.
In addition to a great story, there is an information sheet that the child or parent can fill out to help the child memorize their address, phone, and caretaker information. There are also some discussion starters and questions that will help teach the valuable life lesson of what to do if ever separated from your parents or caregiver.
