Will You Join Me In Praying For Our Troops?

As many of you may already know, we are a Christian military homeschooling family. And right now, I am asking you to join your faith with ours and pray/declare God’s promise of protection found in Psalm 91 over our troops at war all over the world. Currently my precious husband is in the middle East deployed in a combat zone for another year. Of course this takes on a whole new level of personal conviction being married to a soldier, BUT, even before we were married, I was praying for our troops.  If you would be so inclined, I would ask you to take time out of your schedule to confess this powerful Psalm over their lives.

Another important thing to note is that from 1 August to 31 August is the Ramadan period during which Muslims practice a more intense religious life. For our troops it translates to increased attacks during this period. So now is as good a time as ever to begin to cover our troops by speaking the TRUTH of God’s Word over their lives.

Even though some of the troops are not yet believers, it is important to me that I still speak God’s promises over them as if they were. For the Word of God declares in Romans 4:17, “(as it is written, A father of many nations have I made thee) before him whom he believed, even God, who giveth life to the dead, and calleth the things that are not, as though they were.” So while we may not see the immediate manifestation in their lives, we have at least planted OR are watering a seed that God will surely bring to harvest!

The way we have been doing it for the last 8 years, is to simply insert “American and coalition troops” in certain places where the promise of protection is to us and change at times words like “I” to “we” or “they” or etc. It looks like this (I am using the Amplifed Bible and bolding what I have changed for confession/declaration purposes):

1HE WHO a]”>[a]dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].
2The American and coalition troops will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!
3For [then] He will deliver the American and coalition troops from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.
4[Then] He will cover the American and coalition troops with His pinions, and under His wings shall they trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.
5The American and coalition troops shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day,
6Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.
7A thousand may fall at their side, and ten thousand at their right hand, but it shall not come near the American and coalition troops.
8Only a spectator shall the American and coalition troops be [inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked.
9Because the American and coalition troops have made the Lord their refuge, and the Most High their dwelling place,A)”>(A)
10There shall no evil befall the American and coalition troops, nor any plague or calamity come near their tent.
11For He will give His angels [especial] charge over the American and coalition troops to accompany and defend and preserve them in all their ways [of obedience and service].
12They shall bear the American and coalition troops up on their hands, lest they dash their foot against a stone.B)”>(B)
13The American and coalition troops shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall they trample underfoot.C)”>(C)
14Because he has set his love upon the American and coalition troops, therefore will I deliver them; I will set them on high, because they know and understand My name [have a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness–trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake them, no, never].
    15The
American and coalition troops
shall call upon Me, and I will answer them; I will be with them in trouble, I will deliver them and honor them.
16With long life will I satisfy them and show them My salvation.

THANK YOU to those who will join in with us speaking the Word of LIFE upon our soldiers as they continue to fight for the American way of life. I have been praying this Psalm over our troops daily for the last 8 years and have seen many miraculous results. To God be the Glory!

Striving to be more like Jesus,
