Speaking Life Into Your Homeschool {Day 4}

So You Call Yourself a Homeschooler?

Yesterday we talked about the importance of meditating and speaking God’s Word.  I hope that many of you benefited from the printable list of scripture confessions to speak out loud every day. Today we are going to talk about how prayer is the glue that will meld this all together.

One of the things we talked about along with meditating and confessing God’s Word was how doing those two things go hand-in-hand with building your faith.  Remember that Romans 10:17 tells us,So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”  This, my friends, is a wonderful thing – because you will be building your faith to be able to receive what it is you are praying and asking God to do in your life.

I challenge each and every one of you to add a daily prayer time (or several) devoted specifically to your journey to speak life giving words and no longer words of anger and frustration. The prayers do not have to be elaborate, nor does anyone else have to hear them, but make sure that you are building your faith in order that you believe that you will receive what it is you are praying for!

Two other very important reasons we need to meditate, confess, and pray God’s Word to build our faith are found in the following scriptures:

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Hebrews 11:6 NIV)

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)

Not only will speaking, meditating, and praying God’s Word build our faith, but it will also please God and give us the substance (peace) we need in order to patiently wait for God’s will to be accomplished in our life! It is a powerful combination that cannot be imitated by any other way of living!

Today I prepared a special vlog (video log) to pray for each and every one of you!

My husband Michael and I also wrote a family devotional that teaches young families how to incorporate positive confessions (from the Bible) into their every day life that will change the course of their thinking. You can learn more about our book here.
