Planner Perfect To Go Review

I don’t know about you, but I have tried countless planners over the last two decades (yes, you read that right TWO decades) in an attempt to keep my life organized. I have tried everything from master planners to digital planners and nothing that I have ever tried has been a good fit for me. Until now.

Enter into my life, The Planner Perfect To Go. This wonderful planner, created by Jenny Penton, has won my heart for good. Keep in mind that I am a type-A Japanese woman with a major obsession with being organized and productive. As you could imagine, I was a hard one to please in the department of planning.

This little beauty has been the very thing that I have been looking for.

Let me tell you why.

Why I Love The Planner Perfect To Go

The concept. In order to fully understand the concept of The Planner Perfect, you’ll need to read Jenny’s book Planner Perfect A Fresh Idea On Organizing Your Life. This book contains so much wisdom, it is unbelievable. I actually reviewed her book in February 2012, and this book revolutionized the way I looked at planning. The gist of Jenny’s book was to take control of your life without allowing your calendar to become the main focus. Jenny teaches us that dreaming and living life are more important than marking up your calendar and checking off lists. Truly a book worth reading if you are seeking to have more liberty and less legalism in your life planning.

It’s size. Yes, I am pleased that it is not too big and not too small for my needs. This little binder hold 12 months worth of planning plus a pocket with closure for my pens and other items as well as another pocket in the back to tuck away things like receipts, notes, etc.

The Flow. In addition to the blank monthly pages, each Planner Perfect To Go includes some blank paper to further plan and dream on. I use the loose leaf paper to do all of my daily, weekly, and monthly goal setting. It is wonderful to have a master calendar as well as the space to write down other important things that don’t need to be on the actual calendar. It gives me the ability to have separate lists and goals within the same cohesive planner without being too big or bulky. And this also allows for me to not overlook something on the calendar because it is too “full”. While some people prefer large planner, I do not. I like to be light on my feet and this fits right into that aspect of my personality.
