How to Command Your Angels to Protect Your Marriage
Did you know you can command angels to help protect your marriage? It’s true! Many Christians are not aware of this but Scripture plainly says that we have angels assigned to help us. Even Satan knows this to be true based on how he tempted Jesus at the highest point on the temple. In this post, we’re going to look at what the Bible says about angels and how to command them to protect your marriage.
What Does the Bible Say Concerning Angels?
One of the most popular passages is Psalm 91:11:12.
For He will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
This is the passage Satan quoted to Jesus when he told Him to throw Himself down. Of course, Jesus knew what to say back and reminded Satan that we should not test God. What we see in this scripture is the command given by God to protect you (and your marriage) in all your ways.
The Bible also shows us that angels are obedient and do what is commanded by God.
Let’s read Psalm 103:20.
Praise the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.
It is made clear here that angels have specific jobs to do and when called upon or commissioned, they must act. This can be protection over an individual’s life, a group of people, or in this case, your marriage.
How to Command Your Angels to Protect Your Marriage
1. Know the Word of God.
As a quip recap, angels respond to the Word of God; therefore, you have to know what it says. This is why Mike and I stress the importance of reading the Bible and getting into the habit of declaring and decreeing scriptures. Angels heed the voice of God which means they react to His Living Word being spoken. In order to speak it, you must know it.
2. Speak the Word of God out loud.
It may sound silly, but it’s a good idea to become comfortable with professing the Word of God out loud, especially when it comes to protecting your marriage. Speaking to God out loud is one of the boldest ways to press His throne room with your requests. There is almost nothing more powerful than the Word declared aloud!
3. Seal the command(s) in Jesus’ Name.
Although the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ have torn the veil and given us back access to Heavenly Father, we still need to apply His Name and His blood to our lives. This includes when praying and petitioning, especially when commanding angels to protect your marriage. It is through and by His finished work that we have these heavenly perks bestowed on us in the first place.
4. Remain in a place of gratitude for your angel’s help.
This is easily done by thanking God for His help through the angels. There’s no doubt that His divine design is incomprehensible at times, but we know He is great and mighty. We can trust and believe that His Word will accomplish what He pleases, including commanding angels to look over you and your spouse. Try to remain in a place of thankfulness for all prayers, answered and seemingly unanswered.
Final Thought
We highly recommend that you do a topical study on angels and find every scripture that speaks of them. Be sure to read and understand them in their proper context and then begin to pray for knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. Follow through by writing down several scriptural commands that you can begin declaring and decreeing to protect your marriage. This is part of God’s love and gifts to you as a child of His. It’s time to start receiving all He has for you.
