In my life this week…

This week has been very refreshing in our homeschool. We have been able to start all of our new curriculum for the year and have had a blast! It has been so much fun officially schooling all three of my precious children – a first this year in our homeschool. We also had a wonderful field trip with our local Grafenwoehr/Vilseck Homeschool group to learn about the K9’s the military police use. It was a great way to kick off the new year with all our homeschooling friends!

In our homeschool this week…

We had our first “full” week of school and it was amazing. My youngest, Little Caveman, is doing well with his sight words. He enjoyed all his schooling but really loves reading the most. Our middle child, Prince Charming, had a fun filled week as well. He, too, favors reading and was able to read 3 new books this week – a wonderful accomplishment! Our oldest child, Princess, enjoyed her week as well. She is beginning to learn the German language and she really had a lot of fun practicing it this week while in town.

I am inspired by…

The beauty of God’s creation I have been able to do a lot of photography of the beautiful German countryside lately and it is really giving me such a greater appreciation for God’s infinite creation.

Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…

Like I mentioned above, we had a great time with our local homeschool group at a military police K9 field trip. This weekend we are heading out to Weltenburg, Germany with some great friends. We will be touring the Benedictine Abbey that has a brewery in it (interesting, huh?) as well as taking a beautiful boat ride on the Danube river. We are super excited for this adventure!

I’m reading…

Yelling: The cause, the casualty, the cure

Wedded to War

I’m cooking…

Veggie lasagne, fried chicken, veggie stir fry, veggie burgers, chicken Cesar salad, made dried apples, homemade banana chips, and lots of cookies (for ministry purposes).

I’m praying for…

All those who are hurting. My heart has been heavy for all the hurt in this world. Praying His peace will give them the strength and the courage to accomplish His will for their lives.

A photo, video, link, or quote to share…

For those of you who are new here or may have missed it, here is a link to our redeployment reunion video. This is capturing the moments before and right up to our reunion this June from our families 5th year long separation due to a combat deployment.

And here is a photo from our field trip earlier this week!
