  1. Have you used Garlic Press: Discovering Literature Series before? I’m looking for a good literature program for our school year. My daughter is going to 7th grade, but she’s an advanced reader. :o)

    1. Hey Marlene! This is our first year trying this out 🙂 We are super excited about it. I wish we would have known about it when my daughter was in 7th grade 🙂 I will let you know what I think once we dig into it 🙂 You may have to remind me. LOL.

  2. How do you like the All About Spelling program? I’m not quite satisfied with what I have lined up for my 1st and 5th grader this year and am searching for alternatives.

    1. Hi Brandi 🙂 We adore it! We used it for the first time last year with our oldest son. He is a very active boy that doesn’t always like to “sit still” for school. While he loves learning, he would just rather be outside racing someone 🙂 He went from not really caring about his spelling lessons to begging me to do them. Yes, begging. And what I really like about AAS is how thorough and comprehensive it is without overwhelming. As with any curriculum you can adjust it to fit your learner. It is already set up for multiple learning styles and I think that is another one of it many reasons we adore it. I believe it is one curriculum that would work for any child and parent 🙂 I’m excited for you that you may be trying it! Also, I would highly recommend getting the kit for enhancement – it really does make a big difference in the delivery of the program, at least in our family.

  3. All your choices look great. I also have a gymnast, and one in training too 🙂 I am interested to know if you have to develop a syllabus for your States requirements? Also, is your daughter going to compete in college? If so, I would love to glean from you any info you can share while you navigate through NCAA Eligibility. Thanks, Have a great year!
