Mercer Mayer has been a favorite of mine since I was a young child. I remember my grandmother reading me Mercer Mayer books all the time. I have been purchasing Mercer Mayer’s books for our three children for the past 13+ years and am excited to share with you two of his faith-based books today!

is a wonderful new addition to our Mercer Mayer collection. This book takes you on a journey through real-life situations showing how our sinful nature naturally reacts with ungratefulness. The book offers loving correction and practical solutions to help reinforce an attitude of thankfulness in your children. This book was perfect for our 5 and 7 year old sons and fostered some great insight for their young minds to ponder.

We All Need Forgiveness
We All Need Forgiveness is a wonderful book to teach your children about the mercy of God. Throughout the book Little Critter runs into situations that upset and offend him. In the end, Little Critter learns that everyone (including himself) makes mistakes and that we need to forgive others just as God forgave us. This book was a great conversation piece with our youngest (5-year-old) son about some recent situations with his older brother. We really appreciate that the book is hinged on Matthew 6:14, “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”
