Back to School Inspiration – 12 Bible Verses {Free Printable}
It’s back to school season! New books, school supplies, and fresh eager minds are ready to conquer the coming year. But it can be a bit stressful to transition from the summer holidays back to a regular school routine. And I don’t mean just for the kids! We moms need a bit of encouragement too, as we gear up for another school year.
12 Bible verses to encourage you during back to school season:
Wisdom
God is the author of wisdom, and when we seek Him, we will be filled with the riches of His knowledge.
“For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” – Proverbs 2:6
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” – Proverbs 9:10
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” – James 1:5
Being Teachable
It is important that we remain humble and teachable. Yes, we are the teachers, but we also need to be ready to be taught.
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.” – Philippians 2:3
“Whoever disregards discipline comes to poverty and shame, but whoever heeds correction is honored.” – Proverbs 13:18
Setting Priorities
When we seek God first, He takes care of everything else. Unless our priorities are in place, nothing else in our lives will fall in place.
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” – Matthew 6:33
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” – Colossians 3:2
Teaching the Word of God
It is our duty as parents to teach our children the Word of God. It will be embedded deep in their hearts and eventually start bearing fruit in their lives.
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” – Proverbs 22:6
“Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” – Deuteronomy 11:18,19
Inspiration for Mom
Do not faint, dear Mom. God is with you. He will give you the strength you need for the school year. Trust and rely on Him alone.
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” – Philippians 4:13
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:5,6
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19
