Brotherly LOVE – Working Together

Anyone who has children, specifically a set (or more) of brothers can relate to and appreciate the concept of “brotherly love.” Not that you can’t appreciate it outside of motherhood, BUT, there is a special place in a mother’s heart when her sons display true “brotherly love” toward one another.

“Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.”

~Romans 12:9-10 KJV

Today it blessed me to see my young boys working so nicely together while doing their phonics lessons on their “school” laptop. It gave me such great joy to see the love of Christ shining through their relationship – even if for a brief moment. The confidence that Little Caveman received from big brother Prince Charming rooting him on was priceless!

While I was of course happy to see my boys excelling in their preschool work (Hooked on Phonics Pre-K Complete), the greater joy I received was seeing their relationship blossoming into something beyond comprehension of words.

So You Call Yourself A Homeschooler?

It is a great honor to see God’s love at work within the hearts and actions of our children. It gives me great hope and joy of the plans God has for each one of them. Today, God knew that I needed to see this at work, for it gave me the strength I needed.

“He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.”

~1 John 2:10-11 KJV
